Welcome Letter

Hello!

Welcome or welcome back to the plant walks. It's definitely getting closer to Summer. The light is brighter and more intense. Days are long. Heat and humidity is beginning to hang in the air, punctuated by rain and brief respites of cool. The flowering trees are forming fruit, whether edible or inedible to humans.

Now we're into the thick of the harvestable famous, and not so famous, plants. Weeds and garden plants are interesting We've still got edibles everywhere. We harvest from fields and edges of the water, in the shade and in the sun, and on the edge of both. Oh! And in your own yard, of course!

This section will focus on the signatures to understand the uses of plants, real cases from practice, and which parts of the plants to harvest and when (with some tincture and medicinal oil preparations sprinkled in for good measure).

Plants are moving fast everywhere you look, above and below and to either side. Make sure you keep on going for walks. So much to see and touch and smell and...taste!

For those of you new to the plant walks, always remember, you can tap on the comment box and ask a question or leave a comment. I always appreciate hearing what you think and if you have any suggestions to improve the experience.

The material is laid out in the order it was recorded, rather than alphabetizing the material. The material builds on itself, so makes more sense this way. And, quite honestly, that is more realistic, as you walk around in the world. It I mention someone named "Matt," it is Matthew Wood.

And remember, you do have access to ALL the plant walk series with your subscription, if you would like to watch the lessons that were released before you joined.

Let's go for a walk!

Lise
