Welcome Letter

Hello or Hello Again!

Spring has very much arrived. So many plants that were just babies a few weeks ago have grown and changed shape. So many new plants to learn about...and learn about what parts you might harvest for medicine and why. In June I will demonstrate how to make a tincture. But so many plants are flowering right now! So, I will teach you how to make a flower essence...and why.

So much information will come in layers over these months. As medicinal (or edible) plants are at their best for harvesting, I will tell you when plants are appropriate to use or harvest, and which parts to harvest. And, of course, why! You will see that often when a plant is ready to harvest I highlight its edible or medicinal use.. If I reference someone named "Matt," that is my teacher Matthew Wood. During the Prickly Lettuce and Larch segments the audio has static, but for the most part, that problem has been solved. You can still understand me.

This particular class was recorded on one very long day, at multiple locations. It is so much material that I'm going to let it keep you busy for the month, rather than dividing it into two parts and making you wait. I have chosen to enter the material, for your viewing, in the order that we would have walked through the neighborhood, rather than alphabetizing the material. I felt it was more realistic that walking down the street, or in the park, you encounter different plant life along the journey, in a seemingly random order.

But once June comes around... two large releases will arrive in your inbox. It's a busy time of year! Always remember, you can tap on the comment box and ask a question or leave a comment. I always appreciate hearing what you think and if you have any suggestions to improve the experience.

And remember, you do have access to ALL the plant walk series with your subscription, if you would like to watch the lessons that were released before you joined.

Let's go for a walk!

Lise
