Foundational Principles: A Proving and More About Drop Doses Pt 3

Proving

I want you to look around and get a sense of how things look- edges-close and far distances, colors- there is no right or wrong- this is relative- after you take the herb, I want to know if you think your vision has changed

Now close your eyes. I want you to pay attention to how things sound- my voice, etc- are you hearing better in one ear than the other- is there ringing, pressure, itching, whatever?

Pay attention to your body temperature- how hot or cold are you? Is there a difference in different parts of your body? Ie. Extremties

Get a sense of your energy level? What kind of energy is it (ie- you could be tired, but agitated) and how is it distributed through your body (ie- more energy in your legs than your arms?)

Now we will inventory from top to bottom…

Pay attention to your head…is it heavy , are you getting a bit of a headache- exactly where and to what degree? , etc

How do your eyes feel? Pressure, itchy, dry, etc? Is one eye different than the other one?

How bout your sinus’? How does it feel in there? Dry, full? If you blew your nose, do you think anything would come out?

Your mouth and jaw..tension, little aches or pains, wet or dry?

Your throat…does it feel like anything? Do you have a sore throat- does it feel mucousy, constricted or anything at all?

Now your neck- I want you to check your range of motion- move your neck around- Any aches or pains or sense of constriction? Exactly where and to what degree?

Go down your back and ask the same questions?

Now your shoulders and arms

Now I want you to pay attention to your breathing. I don’t want you to change it if you’re not breathing. I just want you to be aware of it. And how does it feel in your chest? Is there any sense of constriction, aches or pains? Now, if you were to inhale deeply, is there any sense of constriction or pain? Exactly where and to what degree?

Now check in with your stomach- Any sense of constriction, tension, pain, hunger, gassiness? Whatever?

Now, slowly but surely, check in with the rest of your body- when you finish with your feet, open your eyes. When everyone is ready, I will give you all a drop of the herb and then I want you to close your eyes again and just pay attention. If anything changes, I want you to write that down on this sheet I’ve given to you. You can also just write down general impressions or sensations, if that’s what you got. We’ll compare after everyone has finished writing what they felt. If you want, you can also make stick figure drawings to show where and what you felt.
